Real Quick. Write Down These 6 Things About 2018

Written by Mike Shapiro | | December 26, 2018

Sure, it’s great to take it easy between Christmas and New Year’s Day. And you probably also have some must-do’s to finish up the year.

But here are a few high-value things you should capture right now that will help you get a clearer picture of 2018 and get you off to a good start in the New Year. Do them quickly and without a lot of pondering. You can go back later and edit. The idea is to get them down right away.

  • Your area’s three biggest accomplishments this year.
  • What do you wish your area had gotten done this year but didn’t?
  • Same thing for you personally.
  • Most significant unforeseen good thing that came along.
  • Most significant unforeseen obstacle that appeared.
  • What do you most want to accomplish in the New Year?
  • Most important thing you know now that you wish you knew this time last year.

That’s it. Nothing more. No reasons why, no explanation, no detailed analysis. That can come later, if it’s warranted. You’ll see. Right now, just keep it to a bare bones list.

Happy New Year!
